Next month marks the start of the Summer 2024 Olympics in Paris. With the games quickly approaching, trials for several events are now underway. Held at the Target Center in Minneapolis, the U.S. Olympics gymnastics trials began last night and will conclude on Sunday.
Regarding which gymnasts will compete in the Olympics, there are favorites for both genders. According to USA Today, the favored male gymnasts are Brody Malone, Frederick Richard, and Khoi Young. At least two spots are available on the male gymnasts’ team.
As for the female gymnasts, it’s expected that Olympic Gold Medalist Simone Biles will return to the Summer Games for the third time and claim another Olympic medal. Having won four gold and one bronze medal in the 2016 Rio Games and a silver and a bronze in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Biles, according to USA Today, is “widely considered…the greatest gymnast ever”.
But when will her 2024 trials finally be on television?
Having finished their first day of trials, the male gymnasts are slated to continue on Saturday afternoon. The women will compete tonight and Sunday.
While it’s hard to predict exactly when the screen will feature Simone, USA Today has estimated that her performance on the uneven bars will begin shortly after 7:45 p.m. ET. From there, she will move on to the balance beam, floor exercise, and vault.
Sunday night, Simone will begin by performing on the vault, her start time is estimated, by USA Today, to be 8:20 p.m. ET. She will then move to the uneven bars, balance beam, and, floor exercise.
The first day of the men’s gymnastics competition was shown live on USA Network. The next three nights, two of which fans will be able to watch Simone, will be on NBC. The channel’s streaming service, Peacock, will also have the trials available on general and apparatus-specific streaming.

Everything but set in stone, Simone Biles’s spot in the Summer 2024 Olympics is expected to be formalized after the trials conclude on Sunday night. For now, we can look forward to watching her amazing skills tonight and Sunday.
