Stephen Curry leads Golden State Warriors to victory over New York Knicks

The Golden State Warriors beat the New York Knicks 110-99 Thursday night. Mr. Curry had nine points before the opposing team scored, and he finished with 31 points as well as 11 rebounds,  according to SportsMax. Johnathan Kuminga added 25 points for the game, Klay Thompson 16, and Chris Paul 11 while Curry ended it with eight three-pointers, as per CBS News.

“They hit us hard. They got out in transition, got easy buckets and then we had to fight out of a big hole, which we ended up doing. But [the] first five or six minutes obviously weren’t our best, but I thought after that we did a pretty good job.” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said.

The Knicks did play a good game as Jalen Brunson scored a whopping 27 points for the Knicks while Donte DiVincenzo added 16, and Josh Hart 14. However, the Knicks quickly fell short as they missed their first nine shots and trailed the Warriors by 17, as per CBS News.

The Golden State Warriors dashed to a 14-0 lead without trailing leaving the Knicks to fall quickly behind. This marks the team’s fifth win in the last six games overall, and they have held an incredible 11-3 streak for the month, as per Times of India.

This was an entertaining game as the Knicks were taking no for an answer, Curry’s basket gave the Warriors a 22-6 advantage that was snuffed out by the Knicks’ 50-44 lead in the half until the Warriors took a 55-46 lead, according to CBS News. A three-pointer by Curry also boosted the Warriors to 17 midway through the third quarter.

“Every night’s different, but it didn’t hurt that in the Garden I had a good vibe and a good flow going,” Curry said.
