Taro Daniel is a professional Japanese American tennis player. Born in New York City to a Japanese mother and American father, Daniel began playing tennis at an early age. Daniel traveled throughout his childhood, attending elementary school in Saitama, Japan and eventually moving to Spain during his middle school years.

 

It was during his time in Europe that he won a number of ITF Futures events. Daniel began working his way up, making it to the third qualifying round of the 2014 Australian Open, and the quarterfinals At the 2014 Davis Cup World Group.

 

Daniel later made his debut at the 2014 US Open and even made it to the finals at the Seville Challenger later that week. Since 2015, Daniels has won ten singles tournaments across the globe from Taipei to Buenos Ares. Daniel has also completed in the2016 and 2020 Olympics
