Video games have a wide array of ways to play them and while many have their preferred ways that suit them best, there are benefits for both binging video games and taking them slowly at your own pace.
Binging video games for one can have the benefit of enjoying a higher number of video games at a faster rate. Many players have long lists of video games that they might want to play through and taking your time with them could mean that list could only grow.
However, by binging games, one could speed through long lists of games they may be interested in at a quick rate. On top of that, some video games actively incentivize an active playstyle, with constant events and limited time features of certain games, a more efficient use of gametime is what people prefer.
On the other hand, one may disagree, saying that playing games at a leisurely pace is far better. It offers far more time to fully enjoy a video game without having to worry about time or what the next game will be. It also eliminates video game burnout and allows for far more immersive experience and allows for players to reflect on the game they play through.
Sometimes this is the only way for people to play video games, as life and work often takes a lot of time out of peoples day, leaving for a small window of time in people’s schedules to play and enjoy video games.
