The Best Foods to Heal Your Gut

Many people struggle with indigestion and bloating. A major factor in indigestion are the types of food you are putting into your body. Luckily, there are plenty of foods out there that can help heal your gut, have probiotics in them, and are overall healthy for you!

To start, it is beneficial to know why you are struggling with gut health. It varies for everyone, but there are some common contributing factors that apply to the overall reason. Certain fruits and vegetables suppress bloating and are good sources of fiber. Some go-to fruits and vegetables are cherries, blueberries, apples, broccoli, asparagus, avocadoes and potatoes. As for protein, consuming it helps break down the food in your stomach and allows for a smoother digestion. Protein also keeps you full for a longer period. This includes eggs, salmon, chicken, ground turkey, beef, and much more. 

Although not a food, green tea is a natural supplement that will supply you with not only benefits for your gut, but an overall bettering of your mind and body. It is best to drink it in the morning with some food because of the caffeine in it. It is quick to keep you debloated and promotes fast digestion of your food. Green tea also assists weight loss in an all-natural way. Mentally, green tea alleviates one’s stress and improves longevity. 

A few weeks ago, my friend and I started to drink a cup of green tea every morning with our breakfast to help with our indigestion. It was amazing how immediate the results were. Our stomachs felt lighter right away, and our energy was much higher. It is safe to say we will continue to implement this in our daily routines. 

Overall, there are so many ways and a variety of foods that can heal your gut right away. Not only is it easy to do, but it will relieve so much of your uncomfortableness and pain!
