The Best Stylish Sneakers to Elevate Your Outfit

I don’t know if you guys have noticed, but sneakers are no longer just for running; they’ve become the pinnacle of some of the most fashionable outfits. Talk about a relief that, as a society, we’ve made comfortable shoes trendy over shoes like platform high heels.

So, I’m here to give you a rundown of my personal favorite sneakers. Full disclosure: if you’re looking for simple and cute sneakers, this might not be for you. This list is carefully curated for those who want to turn basic outfits into stylish ones, so let’s get into it.

Nike Cortez Vintage Suede

I specifically love these shoes in the vintage suede color, thay make me feel so cool for some reason. This retro appeal is to die-for and long time fans of the Cortez shows, debuting in 1972, will love this reimagined look.

Wales Bonnes X Adidas

These shoes are so good that they have completely sold old from the Adidas website, so your best luck here is to find these shoes on sites like eBay or GOAT. For those of you who don’t know, these shoes are a collaboration with Wales Bonner, an English fashion designer, and Adidas. Wales Bonner’s style blends European heritage with an Afro-Atlantic spirit, and her shoes are nothing short of extraordinary.

New Balance 530s

If you haven’t gotten it from this list yet, retro is in, and the new balance 530s are here to steal the show. Not only are these great athletic shoes, they also make the treadmill feel like a run-way. You can wear these with a cute skirt and sweater or with a full-tracksuit, it will never disappoint.

Puma Speedcats

The first speed was released in 1999, combining motorsport style with street fashion. I don’t know about you guys, but I associate these more with soccer cleats than racing culture, with its ultra-thin and low-to-the-ground look. Either way, its style never runs out. This shoe was actually made as a driving shoe designed to shave seconds off of lap times for race car drivers. Who knew shoes from 1999 are already considered retro and vintage?

Nike Air Max Dn8

The Nike Air Max Dn8s are something I personally have never seen before. It’s almost futuristic to look at, like part of an alien space ship that broke off and unexpectedly ended up on my feet. This pair really well with baggy jeans or cargo pants to complete off a chic streetwear look.

Ugg Lowmel

Okay, maybe I lied a little bit in my introduction because these shoes are extremely cute. I used to wear the UGG boots back in middle school, so it’s almost nostalgic for me to see UGG popping up with another banger. I like pairing these with white calf socks, cute skirt and an oversized sweater for a cozy look.

Solomon XT-WHISPER

We’re back to the future with the Solomon XT-WHISPERER and they sure are whispering to me to wear them more. These sneakers are packed with contrasting details that come together to make a sleek look. My favorite out of these shoes are the XT-WHISPER PANHUI in the vanilla ice color, something always draws me into more earthy tones shoes and these shoes are perfectly created.

Hopefully, this list helped you find new shoes to add to your rotation. After all, I think it’s time to chuck out those old converses you think look good with any outfit (they don’t). These styles deserve a spot in your closet, so give them a try; just don’t be surprised when the compliments start rolling in.
