The Governors Ball Music Festival In NYC

The “Governors Ball Music Festival,” is returning to New York City and is just around the corner. Starting on June 6, 2025, for three full days, there will be nonstop music, dancing, concerts and much more at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York. Several headliners such as rapper Tyler the Creator, American singer-songwriter Benson Boone, pop star Olivia Rodrigo, Colombian singer Feid, Irish musician Hozier and the rock band Glass Animals will be performing at the event throughout the weekend. 

This event will likely be huge with performances from such big names in the musical field present as well as many smaller artists performing as well. The “Governors Ball Music Festival,” was first held in 2011 and has been held yearly ever since, except for in 2020 which was cancelled due to the pandemic. Due to its long history, the event is a largely important cultural, recurring event for New York.

The event will be outdoors, so ensure you are properly prepared to spend a large majority of your time out in the sun by bringing sunscreen. Have a few rain jackets as well due to a slight chance of rain during the event. Do not, however, bring an umbrella as those aren’t allowed on festival grounds. Make sure you’re also dressed comfortably for the event so that you may enjoy the festivities to its fullest degree. Outside food and drink will also be prohibited at the event so be prepaid to spend some money on lunch and dinner. The event will additionally be cashless, so make sure to bring a method of payment via card or digitally by mobile payment methods.
