Latin Artist of the Month for December 2025
The Marías is a popular American indie pop band. Formed in 2016, the band currently consists of María Zardoya, Josh Conway, Jesse Perlman, and Edward James.
The band debuted with the 2017 EP Superclean Vol. I followed a plan to create songs for television didn’t follow through. A follow-up to the EP was released a year later. After collaborating with Triathalon on a 2018 single, the group signed with Atlanta Records in 2020.
The band became wellknown for their songs, which are performed in English and Spanish. Many of their influences come from artists like Selena, Billie Holiday, Carla Morrison, Tame Impala, and bands like Radiohead, and the Strokes.
The band has released two EPs, two studio albums, and was nominated for Best New Artist at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. Additionally, the band has collaborated with artists like Bad Bunny, Tainy and Young Miko.
