The Smile are an English rock band formed from various veteran rock artists. The band is comprised of Radiohead singer Thom Yorke, Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood, and Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner.

The Smile formed secretly in 2018 and developed music throughout the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020 and 2021. It was formed mainly because of a want to produce good music faster than the pace of Radiohead.

Eventually, they made a surprise debut at the Glastonbury Festival in 2021. The Smile’s first studio album, A Light for Attracting Attention, released in May 2022.

Since then, the band has released two other studio albums and toured across Europe and North America.
