The World Won’t Soon Forget Brian Wilson

There are plenty of amazing artists out there right now, making great songs and exceeding expectations of what music can provide. Many genius creatives in the industry have left their mark long after they are gone, and Brian Wilson is no different. After such an amazing career as a songwriter and composer, he has now passed away at the age of 82.

His most notable successes as a musician are his many contributions to The Beach Boys. He wrote many of their best songs and composed them as well, which brought the boy band to become the legendary pop band they are known to this day. “I Get Around”, “California Girls”, and “Good Vibrations” are a few of the hits that wouldn’t have been possible without him. Many of his albums, like “Pet Sounds”, hit the top ten upon their release and continue to be favorites among other artists.

Unfortunately, Brian’s private life was not as cheery as his songs, as he had a rough childhood that would lead to a constant battle with depression and mental illness. His psychological issues only got worse with drug abuse and eventually led him to leave The Beach Boys and return home. He did still help with many songs, but he wanted his privacy away from the business and to act as a sort of musical recluse. Even though his life was filled with all sorts of problems, he still provided the world with his love of music and made many smiles during his time with the band. Although he is no longer with us, the impact he made will not be forgotten and he will be remembered for his many works.
