Top Desserts to Have on the 4th of July

There is no denying that a 4th of July party must go all out when it comes to the food. It’s a day filled with hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ, and every other dish that reveals your American spirit! However, much like any meal, the most anticipated time is when the desserts come out. There are so many kinds of sweet treats that are perfect for this time of year, and nothing sounds more fun than laying out the best ones.

Pie is an all-time classic for any occasion, and Independence Day is no different. These encrusted pastries are great with all kinds of combinations and flavors to make them more personalized to people’s tastes. Fruit-based pies are popular choices for the 4th, like cherry, apple, strawberry, etc. Of course, any kind of pie is fair game, so don’t be afraid to try out more unique flavors!

Ice cream is another dessert that is best enjoyed during this hot season. Any kind that incorporates red, white, and blue colors is an obvious choice, as well as any sort of toppings that make for an eye-pleasing display. It’s even become popular to have an ice cream cake during this holiday, combining refreshing and cool cream with the layers of cake!

There are many other contenders for this list of desserts. Cupcakes and brownies are always welcome at any party. Cheesecake is a fantastic choice if you are looking for something extra sweet. In any case, Independence Day is the perfect excuse to enjoy the freedom of eating great food with friends and family. Embrace your sweet tooth and chow down on one or all of these desserts that make you smile!
