Trailer Provides First Look Into New Avatar Film

When the film “Avatar,” from 2009, directed by James Cameron released, it was an instant hit with audiences and got a few sequels announced to be in the works. Fast forward to 2022 and “Avatar: The Way of Water,” released. Entire nations rose and fell before this film ever saw the light of day and a little while later, the title for the third film, “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” was announced in 2024.

Fans have been waiting in excitement when the trailer for “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” released a few days ago. The visual effects seem to hold up just as well as the previous installments as shown in the trailer, with a new plot seemingly surrounding a new tribe that are seemingly the antagonists of the next installment.

According to the wiki, “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” will explore “the Sully family as they are threatened by Varang (Oona Chaplin), the leader of the Mangkwan clan who have rejected Eywa.” The Mangkwan clan seemingly being the fire themed tribe predominantly featured as the film’s main villains and their leader Varang seem to promise a creative new view into the story of “Avatar,” as they provide a sheer contrast to Pandora’s other tribes shown in previous films.

The trailer also implies that the Mangkwan tribe will share viewpoints and goals with the prior human antagonists of the film series, implying the rise of a strong, enemy team up, which will likely set up the plot of the fourth film in the series which is yet to be named.
