“Tron: Ares”, the newest installment in the Tron series, has been met at the theaters with a lukewarm response from audiences. “Tron: Ares” is the third movie of three in the Tron universe, with the movie following Ares as he navigates the human world, being the first AI being to interact with humans. As reviews have come out, the response has been less than stellar. Many have said the plot of the movie is a bland story with interesting visuals, but nothing new compared to the previous installments, which were more than a decade ago.
The movie also suffered from controversy, with its decision to have Jared Leto be the lead for the film. Jared Leto has been a risky actor to have due to his list of sexual abuse allegations and his track record of box office failures he has participated in.

Overall, “Tron: Ares” is currently a flop at the box office, having still not made back the staggering $180 million that went into its creation. The movie itself is an excellent time-waster thriller film, but nothing to write home about. Hopefully, for the creators, they will be able to make their money back when the movie releases in the Chinese market.
