Tyler Gregory Okonma aka Tyler, the Creator is a popular American rapper, singer songwriter, and producer. Born in Hawthorne, California, Okonma found a love for music during his childhood, learning to play piano and making imaginary albums with various CD cases.

Okonma officially began his music career in 2007 when he co-founded the alternative hip hop collective Odd Future, releasing their debut mixtape, The Odd Future Tape, the next year. Okonma followed up the following year with the release of his first album titled Bastard. He gained traction from the media in 2011 when he released a music video from one if the album’s tracks, Yonkers.

That same year, Okonma and Odd Future signed on with Red Distribution/Sony, and released his second album, Goblin, a few months later. Okoma would go on to perform on late night talk shows Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and eventually release his third album Wolf. Outside of music, Okonma would appear in the Odd Future TV show titled the Loiter Squad on Adult Swim.

Since then, Okonma has become on of the most dominant alternative rap artists globally, catching new fans with his unique stage presence and lyrics. Okonma has collaborated with many artists from a variety of genres including Steve Lacy, Frank Ocean, Anna of the North,  Childish Gambino, ASAP Rocky,  Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Schoolboy Q, Kali Uchis, and many more.

With over 4.7 million albums sold globally and eight studio albums released, Okonma has cemented himself as one of the most influential modern American rapper artists in the business.
