One of the most recent video game adaptations was “Fallout.” The original “Fallout” game came out in 1997, following a futuristic post-apocalyptic world. There are a handful of different Fallout games, and each involves different end goals. The TV show adaptation just came out this year, 2024, following several different characters as they navigate this wasteland world.
Another new popular adaptation is “Five Nights At Freddy’s.” The original game came out in 2014 and quickly became a fan favorite. In this game, you play the role of a night guard who has to keep an eye out for the animatronics that come to life. This horror game involves quick jump scares and a lot of anxiety. In 2023, the highly anticipated movie adaptations came to theaters. This movie follows close to the storyline of the game, only adding more plot.
Coming out next month is a new game to movie adaptation, “Borderlands.” “Borderlands” is a video game that came out in 2009. It is a first-person shooter game where the player aims to loot and find treasures. The game is set up in a Western science fantasy setting. The movie follows several characters from the game as they fight monsters and bandits, rescuing a missing girl with an incredible power.
Another famous new adaptation from the game to the movie was “The Last of Us.” The original game came out in 2013 and has been re-released several times. The show came out in 2023, following the two main characters, Ellie and Joel, as they travel through an apocalyptic zombie outbreak. This video game show adaptation has been considered one of the best ever created. The show follows incredibly close to the storyline of the game, making it come to life very accurately. It also helps that in the video game, you follow an entire plot and story. Season 2 of “The Last of Us” is currently in the works and is planned to come out in the spring of 2025.
