Ah, the seasons are finally changing! The sun stays out longer, the air turns warm, and finally, it does not feel like the arctic when standing outside. And with these changing seasons, people are beginning to go outside and play again. With the spring sports season just around the corner, I wanted to share my opinion on why I think it is better to play sports in the spring when compared to any other season.
First, since it is spring, you will neither be too hot nor too cold to go outside. Unlike the hotter months of July and August, your skin will not be baking in the sun just after five minutes of leaving your house. Additionally, you will not freeze like in the colder months of October through February. Nope, you will be standing in the happy and comfortable middle of being neither too hot nor too cold when playing in the spring.
Second, more people will want to go to your game and watch you play. Since it is the changing of the seasons, people are just dying to be done hibernating during the long and cold winter months. Wanting to finally leave their caves and finally enjoy the warmth, more people are likely to watch your games since it gives them the perfect opportunity to leave their homes that other seasons don’t really offer.
Finally, you will be able to see the new flowers that have grown on the trees. I know it sounds small and insignificant, but there is a special kind of magic in witnessing the flowers finally emerge and blossom under the sun at the beginning of spring. It is especially special when the trees are cherry blossoms.
