Tuesday night was the 2021 MLB All Star Game, which aired on Fox. 40 of the best players in the entire game of baseball gave the fans in attendance, and those watching at home, an entertaining game, and a matchup that was won by the American League in a score of 5-2. The game saw 20 of the best players in the American League face off against the 20 best players from the National League. For the eighth straight year, the American League came out victorious, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., of the Toronto Blue Jays, was given the distinct honor of All-Star Game MVP.

U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced plans to ban anyone who is guilty of online racist abuse after members of England’s national soccer team were targeted following their loss in the European Champion Final. NYC Restaurant Week Begins July 19

CBS New York has reported that New York City Restaurant Week is making a comeback — one that will last for over a month. Restaurant Week is back, and it will occur over the course of five weeks from July 19 to Aug. 22.

On July 12, the New York City Mayor’s Office announced on Twitter that “NYC Restaurant Week is back and this time it’s 5 weeks long! More than 500 restaurants across all 5 boroughs are participating from July 19 to August 22.”

Young Voters in Texas Protest Against New Voting Laws

Many young voters and voting rights activists in Texas gathered at the Texas Capitol building this weekend to protest against restrictive new voting laws in the state. Several organizations were pre-sent at the protest, including MOVE Texas, Common Cause Texas, Texas Rising, Voto Latino, Jolt Action, ACLU of Texas, and the Texas Civil Rights Project.
