MY GUIDE

by

There is a trying war inside my head
It’s drifting to my soul, my head, my heart—
Consuming me, tearing on every thread,
And ripping all my deepest thoughts apart.

I’ve tried. The battle’s getting harder though,
With lost outcomes, making the things I say
Look blurred against how I really feel so
I’ve lost which road that I should take. Which way?

How can I get back to a path of growth—
One where there’s healing, faith, prayer, and more time
To be the kind of person I won’t loathe?
Sometimes, it feels impossible to find.

So, I’ll dig deeper, deeper, deep inside
To find the only Help, my Lord and Guide.
