Without notice, Drake released 100 gigabytes of never-before-seen material on social media yesterday. It contained footage, artwork, studio recordings, and three unreleased songs.
He reposted the three songs on his main Instagram account which has over 145 million followers. The songs were originally posted on another account called “plottttwistttttt”.
The tracks were titled, “Blue Green Red”, “It’s Up,” featuring 21 Savage and Young Thug, and “Housekeeping Knows” which featured Latto.
This backup account has the link to all the content in its bio. There are 40 folders named after songs, albums, and tours from Drake’s past.
It is still unclear what this was for and if there is a deeper meaning. What we do know is that last week Drake announced that he and fellow Canadian rapper PARTYNEXTDOOR, have a collab album coming this fall. Perhaps this is part of the rollout for that or maybe Drake just wanted to give his fans a better look at how he got to where he is today.
Either way, this brought fans into a frenzy, as they were excited to have some new Drake content after months of him being quiet since his public beef with Kendrick Lamar. Die-hard Drizzy fans are enjoying a look inside the infamous “Hotline Bling” music video, backstage antics, and some footage from his recording studio.
