2025 FIFA Club World Cup: Everything to Know

Only a month away and the day, June 14, is already enticing to a football fan. Just the depth of the stadium, with its carnival-like atmosphere, is enough to hint at what I’m talking about. The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will start from June 14 to July 13. Hosted by the USA, various stadiums such as Hard Rock Gardens (Miami) and MetLife (New Jersey) will hold the event.

32 teams will be divided into groups. All from each of the six international confederations: AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC and UEFA. The first edition of the organization’s prime club competition.

8 groups will be categorized: A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H. The teams are in groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance to the round of 16, where single-match knockout ties will determine the eventual champion. No third place play off as well, which makes the stakes higher.

Winners of the previous continental championships will be in attendance, including Manchester City – who won the cup in 2023 under the old format. So, the champions will obviously dominate, considering they have both the prestige and experience to make a deep run. However, in this sports world, anything can happen, so be on the lookout.

Globally speaking, this is big for the world. Soccer is not as popular in the stateside compared to American Football and Basketball. Yet this tournament could potentially spark light into the sport within the U.S. Countries from places such as Africa, Oceania, Asia, South America, and even from our MLS will represent. A block party but with field competition.

Overall, stay tuned for the event to commence on June 14. TNT Sports will broadcast all 24 matches on TNT, TBS, and truTV, so stay tuned for the global stage event of the century.
