The state of New York once again saw its share of horrific violence a few days ago, when a mass shooting took place at a nightclub in Brooklyn. There were supposedly multiple gunmen who caused the bloodshed that resulted in three deaths and left many others wounded.
The crime took place at the Taste of the City Lounge, where a group of people were having a dispute among themselves inside the crowded club. The heated moment was said to have died down after a while, but then flared back up and eventually resulted in the two groups firing at each other in the club. Police believe that the shooting may have been gang-related, but not enough information has been found yet to make this claim concrete. No suspects have been taken into custody at this time, and law enforcement urges anyone to speak up about anything they might know about the shooting.
A video was taken during the crime that shows the patrons running into the streets as gunfire can be heard in the background. The police inspected the nightclub and found multiple bullet casings belonging to 9mm and .45-caliber guns. All ten of the wounded victims have been placed in hospitals, with the good news that their injuries are not life-threatening. Even still, the city mourns for the three people who didn’t survive the attack. The nightclub has also come out to give prayers to the victims’ families on social media. The police are still on the hunt for the killers and will not stop until they are found and put behind bars.
