eBooks VS Real Books: Which is Better?

Even in this modern world of technology, it is still surprising to see how certain forms of media and entertainment evolve into alternative forms. Literature is no exception, as there are now even more options available to find and read various texts. With electronic books now available, one must wonder if actual books have anything that eBooks don’t. Which one is better?

eBooks have many things going for them. These online sites and platforms allow users to access their long library of books from any electronic device. Most people prefer to use tablets to read these books, but smartphones are just as capable. Not only is it convenient to have so many texts online, but it is also less cumbersome than bringing an actual book on the go. Many sites provide audio versions of the books, giving readers the option to listen to the texts!

Of course, actual books also have their benefits. Unlike eBooks, normal books don’t require batteries or internet service. Your reading time might be cut short if you didn’t bring a charger or don’t have your books downloaded onto your devices. eBooks often run the risk of being removed from their libraries, which is why having a physical copy is more reliable. Also, in my opinion, books are more enjoyable to read in print than they are online. With the amount of time we spend on screens and phones, it’s nice to have a hobby that doesn’t rely on that.

In the end, I think the better version of reading is based on the location. Being inside next to a charger is better for eBooks, while being outside in the sun is a better environment for paper books. So long as you enjoy reading, it doesn’t matter which way you do it!
