Former Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos, created an AI Startup named ‘Project Prometheus’

In a recent announcement, Jeff Bezos, the former CEO of Amazon, announced the launch of a new AI startup named “Project Prometheus”. This project is one of the many startups that have entered the race for AI development and implementation. He will be running the company alongside fellow co-CEO Vik Bajaj, a celebrity chemist and physicist.

What sets “Project Prometheus” apart from other companies pursuing the development of AI is that they are focused on the engineering and manufacturing potential of AI and how it can be used to improve productivity.

The AI tech startup has already received over $6 billion in funding and has recruited over 100 employees, according to reports. The employees seem to have been poached from different AI companies such as OpenAI, Meta, and DeepMind.

The company has been secretive regarding its operations, and Jeff Bezos has not done much to enlighten the public regarding what the company has been up to or where it is based. The company has not provided any information regarding a roadmap of development or who they are marketing their product towards.

It is uncertain how successful “Project Prometheus” is going to be, considering how crowded the AI development market has become. Despite having such a grand name based on the titan of foresight that gave humanity fire and the ability to develop as a society from Greek mythology, the future of the startup is unclear.

AI has become the obsession of many major corporations, with many believing AI is the next big technological development comparable to the invention of the Internet. Hopefully, the market will remain stable, and the bubble won’t burst.
