In a statement from Lynard Skynyrd, they announced that they would be embarking on a summer tour across the United States. Interestingly, the band will not be going on this tour alone. The tour, which has been named the ‘Double Trouble Double Vision’, will also have the band ‘Foreigner’ join Lynyrd Skynyrd in their journey across the United States.
The tour is expected to begin on July 23rd at the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Georgia. The show is expected to have a total of 19 shows before finally ending on August 29th, at the Walmart AMP in Rogers, Arizona.
Member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Van Zant, had this to say regarding the partnership for the tour: “I’m excited to share the stage with Foreigner and hear all their amazing hits!” he continues, “I’ve always been a fan, and I believe the audience will love this tour. Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner together – it doesn’t get much better than that. See y’all in 2026!”.
Foreigner’s Jeff Pilson also made a statement regarding the partnership. “The energy the band has felt knowing we’ll be touring with Skynyrd this coming summer has been electric!” he continues, “Two bands with plenty of iconic songs, duelling guitars, double trouble and double vision are gonna set each and every stage on fire! No question this will be the go-to event of the summer!”.
The schedule regarding where they will play across the nation is available online, as well as what songs they are planning to play at each location. For those in the New York area, four shows are going to be held in New York and New Jersey.
