Movies Under the Stars

Get ready to pack your picnic chairs and watch a flick in the great outdoors. The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and NYC Parks bring you more than 150 film screenings to parks throughout the five boroughs. Enjoy great family entertainment, watching new movies to classics.

On Monday, June 29th, at Basketball Courts in Gorman Playground, in Queens, from 9 – 11 pm: Jurassic Park will be playing.

On Tuesday, June 30th, at Kaiser Park Baseball Field, in Brooklyn, Encanto will be playing from 8:30 – 10:30 pm. Zootopia 2 will also be playing at Sid Augarten Field in the Bronx at the same time.

On Thursday, July 2nd, at Bay 8th Street and Cropsey Ave, Forrest Gump will be playing from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Hoppers will also be playing at Play Area in Manhattan and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the basketball courts in the Bronx at the same time.

On Friday, July 3rd, at the Athletic Field in Manhattan, from 8:30 – 10:00 pm, Elio will be playing. At the Playground Area in the Bronx, Bad Guys 2 will be playing from 8:30 to 10:30 pm, and at 45th Ave and Broadway in Queens from 9 -11 pm How to Train Your Dragon will be playing.

On Tuesday, July 7th at Cedar Grove Beach in Staten Island, from 9 -11 pm, Captain America: The First Avenger will be playing.

On Wednesday, July 8th at Suydam Street and Irving Avenue in Brooklyn, the classic Mighty Ducks will be playing from 8:30 – 10:30 pm. Another classic, National Treasure, will be playing at the Lawn Area in Staten Island from 8:45 – 11:15 pm.

On July Thursday, July 9th at the Athletic Field in the Bronx, another classic from 1985, Goonies, will be playing 8:30 – 10:30pm.

On Saturday, July 11th at the entrance of Jules Drive and Elson Court, Five Nights at Freedy’s will be playing at 8:30 – 10:30pm. At the basketball courts in Bronx, Hoppers will be playing, and Monster’s Inc will be playing at Ballfields in Queens at the same time.
