Abercrombie and Fitch recently had to pull a line of padded bikinis due to outraged parents protesting them. The targeted audience was young girls ages 7-14. Clearly, the people behind the marketing department aren’t thinking straight. Maybe the company needs to do background checks on these people to see if they have a sexual history dealing with minors. That might explain why this isn’t the company’s first time dealing with issues that their clothes are not age-appropriate for their younger customers.
Of course, a movie premiere is a chance for celebrities to advertise their work, but in some cases, the red carpet also offers a great platform to convey the tone of the movie or to make reference to the character they have been portraying for the past few months. Literal dressing is not fancy dress, so it can be challenging to master, but it is a great way to be playful and have fun with fashion.
