Amazon Prime Day 2022 Dates Just Announced

Amazon Prime Day 2022 will take place from Tuesday, July 12 to Wednesday, July 13. The retailer confirmed the dates in a press release on Thursday, June 16 when they announced that once again Prime Day will be a 48-hour mega-sale including thousands of deals.

Prime Day is Amazon’s biggest annual sale. During the expanse of two days, huge discounts are made available exclusively to Amazon Prime members.

Historically, Prime Day was always held in the summer, specifically in July, except for last year, when Amazon was forced to postpone it until October due to delivery delays and stock shortages caused by the 2020 pandemic.

With this year’s Amazon Prime deals now less than one month away, this is what you need to do to be eligible for the deals:

First, you need to sign up for Prime membership. It’s currently $14.99 per month or $139 per year. You can also start a free 30-day Prime trial closer to the date, as long as you haven’t been a member in the past.

After you follow the instructions, you will be included among the over 200 million members that will receive benefits including free shipping, access to Prime Video—one of the top streaming services worldwide—and much more.

Then you are ready to start browsing deals. The first wave of this year’s Prime Day deals has already been confirmed.

Amazon Prime members will find that just like in the previous years, the best offers will be on Amazon devices, such as Echo Dot, Kindle Paperwhite, and Fire 7 Tablet. There will be an over 50% discount on these devices.

The retailer has also announced that a selection of its budget-friendly Fire TVs will also be on discount prices starting at just $89.99.

Aside from Amazon products, there will also be deals on other major brands such as Sony, Bose, Samsung, Phillips, Bosch, Garnier, and more. Amazon has promised up to a 50% discount on products from these brands, which will be featuring some of their lowest prices ever.

Away from the biggest retailers, Amazon will keep up its efforts to boost its third-party sellers, as last Prime Day was the biggest sales period ever for Amazon’s marketplace sellers.

Originally created as a celebration of Amazon’s 20th anniversary back in 2015, Prime Day was thought up to encourage people to purchase items outside of the Fall-Winter holiday season. Since then, it has become one of the biggest sales in the retail calendar, with many other brands launching sales of their own to take advantage of the huge boost in online purchases.
