Bestselling Books of 2023

The books that we read are undoubtedly a representation of who we are. These bestselling books of 2023 can tell us a lot about what this year entails. This is why it is important to know the books society just can’t put down so far this 2023.

And while every book reader has an individualized perspective on what makes a good book, sometimes there are books that appeal to the satisfaction of every type of reader. Getting into reading with no idea what to expect can be a rush that most readers enjoy. However, every now and then, we get a craving for a book with already-established credibility. Let’s see what some of these books are this year.

  1. Spare by Prince Harry

The world this year seems to be infatuated with the life of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Be it the interview with Oprah, the mention of them in Chris Rock’s Netflix special, or the charming and compelling nature of being a martyr in a world of royals. Whatever the case may be, this bestselling memoir came at the perfect time.

  1. Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

2023 seems to be the year of women’s empowerment. Set in the late ’50s and early ’60s in America, this book contains the story of Elizabeth Zott. A woman and single mother, Elizabeth walks through life as a genius chemist in a world full of misogyny.

  1. Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano

This year we go back to the classics. Ann Napolitano’s bestselling novel is said to behold “An exquisite homage to Louisa May Alcott’s timeless classic, Little Women.” This is because, in this novel, the inseparable and lovely connection between Julia Padavano and her three sisters is what reveals to the main character, William Waters, what it is to be part of a loving family. William’s dark past, however, causes a rift in his newfound family.

  1. Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

This book received several “Book of the Year” awards due to its epic saga of friendship and video game design. This book portrays a love story – between two friends that are “often in love, but never lovers” – that spans three decades and multiple locations. “It is a love story, but not one you have heard before.”
Some other bestselling books of 2023 are I Will Find You by Harlan Coben, Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver, Pineapple Street by Jenny Jackson, and let’s not forget the myriad of books from bestselling author Colleen Hoover.
