Hey remember Dre’s Detox album? Well according to DJ Khalil, Dre is almost finished with the LP. Honestly, I’ve been waiting for so long that my interest in the album is pretty much gone. Dr. Dre’s talk Detox album has been like the Chinese Democracy of the hip hop world. For those who don’t know, Chinese Democracy is an album by Guns N’ Roses that was delayed for many years due to countless complications. According to Hip Hop DX however, Khalil stated that “Dre’s album is definitely the most important thing right now, because he is definitely in the final stretch.” Regarding the sound of the album, Khalil says “It’s definitely a West Coast sound — more futuristic West Coast sound — at least from what I’ve turned in.” Some of the confirmed tracks on the record include “Kush”, “Die Hard”, and “I Need a Doctor”. There is no confirmed release date on the album thus far. On another note did anyone else feel like the music video for “I Need a Doctor” was like one big commercial for Gatorade?
