Emma Stone: Beautiful Inside and Out

Actress Emma Stone is proving to be one of Hollywood’s hottest stars and it seems that she has no plans of slowing down. The 22-year old beauty has three hit movies out in theaters, Crazy Stupid Love, Friends with Benefits and The Help, meaning she has been seen all over the red carpet. All three of her looks for the premiers were all different in their own right, but each was carefully selected, making her look flawless. On the red carpet for The Help, Stone wore a subdued flowy Chanel dress paired with nude colored Brian Atwood pumps. While this dress may not work on others, Stone looks young and chic. Her hair and Chanel purse complemented the outfit perfectly. While it is obvious that she is very beautiful, the actress was recently quoted about how important confidence is to beauty. “Confidence is the only key. I know a lot of people who aren’t traditionally ‘beautiful’ — not symmetrical or perfect-bodied or perfect-skinned. But none of that matters because all that shines through is their confidence, humor and comfort with themselves. I can’t think of any better representation of beauty than someone who is unafraid to be herself,” said Stone. Stone definitely has the confidence factor down.

A Run Down of the CFDA Awards: Who Won?

The CFDA Fashion Awards happened last week on November 8th. This year the awards show proved to be extra extravagant as the organization celebrated its 60th anniversary. The night was incredibly sentimental as the industry’s icons were honored. The late fashion designer Virgil Ablouh was awarded with the Board of Trustees Award. The Special Anniversary Award went to the designer Jeffrey Banks who entered the industry in the 70s by working at Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Among the icons in the fashion industry who were honored were “the stylist Patti Wilson, who will receive the Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard, and Richard and Laurie Lynn Stark of Chrome Hearts, who are picking up the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award.

Rihanna would like Beyonce to model for Savage x Fenty

The Savage X Fenty Show has only just concluded, but Rihanna is already planning the next one. On Monday (November 14), the superstar revealed her dream A-lister for her show.
“Beyoncé,” she stated matter-of-factly in an interview with E! News when asked the question. “I mean, Beyoncé got body. That would just trump everything for me.”
Meanwhile, this year’s models ranged from Sheryl Lee Ralph, Taraji P. Henson, and RuPaul’s Drag Race fan favorite Kornbread “The Snack” Jete to Simu Liu, Winston Duke, and, rather controversially, Johnny Depp.

Why are Plus Size People Always Left Out of Activewear Sizing and Advertising?

Leggings and yoga pants are a part of this country’s cultural fabric. Especially once the pandemic hit, our jeans definitely got put on the back burner. Access to these workout garments were not always easy to find especially for plus size women. A 2016 study found that 37% of plus size women wore men’s clothing to work out in because of the lack of options. Size shouldn’t limit personal style and it definitely shouldn’t limit someone’s ability to wear comfortable clothes in their daily life.

Style Guide: How to Dress up Your Winter Coat

This winter is full of potential to serve up some fresh looks, but navigating all of the latest trends can be tricky. That’s why I’ve compiled a list of 3 coat trends to try and some tips for accessorizing them. First off, consider what type of coat you’re going to wear! Knowing what piece you’re styling around will be crucial to inform the rest of your styling decisions. For example, if you plan on dressing up a longer jacket, you would want all of your accent pieces to play into the shape and length of the coat; so if your coat is going to cover up your legs, then you might opt not to wear statement boots which would be hidden by the coat. If you’re struggling to decide what kind of jacket to wear, consider one of these!

    What Money Can’t Buy: Style

Photos of wealthy celebrities in elaborate outfits litter Tiktok For You pages, Instagram feeds, and Twitter timelines. Although most celebrities have immense amounts of wealth and access to the exclusive world of fashion, few are upheld in online discourse as fashion icons. One of the most notable examples of this discrepancy is the Kardashion-Jenner family in comparison with supermodel Bella Hadid. Photos of Bella Hadid’s street style consistently go viral on the internet with young people everywhere immediately attempting to emulate her essence. In contrast, the Kardashian Jenner family, made up of five beautiful daughters, have had little to no impact on the fashion community at all. These two examples make one thing clear, fashion style, better explained as a unique sense of self-expression through clothing, is one thing money will never be able to buy.
