The hit HBO show, “Euphoria” captured the hearts of many viewers the second it was released. They have not only brought awareness to many different topics but the show itself has become its own aesthetic.
If you tuned into the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar after party, then you probably saw the beautiful and unique fits of all the a-list celebrities. Celebrities, such as Kristen Stewart to Nicole Kidman, are some of the infamous names that walked alongside the Euphoria cast. At this highly anticipated event, Alexa Demie, Sydney Sweenie, Hunter Schafer, Barbie Ferreira, Maude Apatow, Dominic Fike and Angus Cloud, all came in stunning attire. Did you notice that a lot of their runway fits matched their characters in the hit show?
Starting with Zendaya, her character, Rue, does not have it easy in the show. While she struggles with substance abuse and healing from the loss of her dad, she matures significantly from the start of the second season to the end. Walking the red carpet in a sleek sportmax power suit, Zendaya shows off the notable maturity of Rue.
Moving on to Sydney Sweeny, her character, Cassie, faces the desire for male attention and must cope with the fact that her dad left her. Her beautiful Miu Miu lavender-pink dress is spot-on with her child-like tendencies in the show. Additionally, her character Cassie tends to wear pink, so this dress was perfect for the event.
Another example of this theory is Barbie Ferreira’s bold Fendi dress. Her character, Kat, faces the struggles of body positivity and the toxicity of social media. Throughout the show she really finds her voice and confidence. The bold colors of her dress and showstopping earrings perfectly portray this powerful message in the show.
Finishing off with Maude Apatow, her character, Lexi pursues her passion of theater production and coming out of the shadows of her sister. Her cream dress screams old Hollywood glam, which perfectly aligns with her dreams of being a producer in the show. Along with this, the white color is symbolic of her “rebirth” at the end of the season as she comes into the spotlight.
Regardless of whether these fits were intentional or not, every cast member killed it on the red carpet. They left fans begging for season 3.
