Fans Taut Conspiracy Theories Regarding Pacquiao Loss

After 7 undefeated years, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao lost this past weekend to Timothy Bradley. This loss sparked rumors among fans of the match being fixed because Pacquiao clearly had the upper hand all match long. Pacquiao landed 253 punches to Bradley’s 159 and compubox statistics showed Pacquiao landing more punches in 10 of the 12 rounds. However, the judges ruled Bradley the winner.
The conspiracy theorists are citing corruption in the sport due to the fact that Bradley tweeted a poster for their rematch on May 29th, before the match had even taken place. The rematch is set for November and fans wonder if the entire fight was a set up.
Despite the rumors, Pacquiao was a graceful loser. “I did my best,” he said. “I guess my best wasn’t good enough.”
