G.O.O.D. Music and Island Def Jam Join Forces

Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music has recently signed a long term deal with Island Def Jam Music Group. Kanye’s success and Def Jam’s power position in the music industry makes this move one that puts Kanye as an integral core artist for the label according to AllHipHopNews. With all the big expectations for Big Sean’s Finally Famous album due June 28th via G.O.O.D. Music/Island Def Jam Music Group, it seems like the new deal is already proving to be a prosperous one. Barry Weiss, Island Def Jam’s current CEO stated that “As a recording artist and a producer over the past eight years, there is no one who has made a greater impression on the game than Kanye.” Kanye is truly a genius that is able to reinvent his sound to appeal to new and old audiences. The production on his last album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, set the bar for producers all over the world. I’m excited to see the artist collaborations that will be come up with now that this deal as been landed.
