This past June 1st and 2nd rioters and looters took to the streets of the Fordham section of the Bronx. The Mayor ordered the NYPD to stand down. At the same time the Deputy Inspector Richard Brea of the 46 Precinct turned in his badge because the city would not let him and his fellow officers do their job. Crime in the area has skyrocketed. The gangs and thugs rule.
On Thanksgiving the Guardian Angels made the vow that we would take back the Bronx. Whereas the cops have been forced to be reactive we have become very proactive. In the last two weeks alone we’ve made 2 citizens arrests and have broken up fights and disputes. The Fordham area Is where we started 42 years ago. February 13th will be our anniversary and we hope to celebrate the liberation of Fordham Road and the subway lines that serve it.
You can see Lethal Weapon in one of the pictures. He has been a Guardian Angel and a NYC Auxiliary Police Officer for 30 years. Two weeks ago while escorting a woman to find a public bathroom he was surrounded by 5 thugs. In true Guardian Angel fashion he protected the woman, did not surrender and did not retreat. He was injured as you can see but he made a citizen’s arrest of the main thug. The Mayor is waving the white flag and turning over our streets to the criminals while the Guardian Angels are digging in and taking the streets back. To be continued….
