Videographer of the Month for December 2023

Bio

Jack Palmiotti is a Filmmaker from Hudson Valley New York. The open space and an array of nature helped shape his creative outlook. Learning from after-school media programs like the Children Media Project in Poughkeepsie NY, pushing creation in meaning at Purchase College New Media degree program and inspired by skateboarding it developed his eye for capturing the natural world by cinematography and crafting a message through editing. All with the goal to stop viewers for a moment out of reality into a cinematic story. Reaching depth and connecting emotion through film and video is what Jack loves about visual creations making ideas come to life. In his career, he has captured live events from sporting competitions, plays, and musical performances to company town halls. Directed and produced short films that have gone on to festivals, with the Collaboration short film “Ascension” placing in the top 15 finalists at the 100-hour film race competition. Among videography and capturing stories through short films and cinematography of natural life, Jack is currently working on a documentary about a street sticker artist who had an impactful New York skate team in the 90s.
