Jersey City Jazz Festival

Jersey City is the culinary capital of NJ, featuring some of the state’s best restaurants. At the Jersey City Jazz Festival, you can experience the taste of some of the best chefs in the food court. It is a kid-friendly community zone where there will be arts and crafts, bilingual storytimes, percussion classes, and much more! You can also shop in between the sets and browse a selection of handcrafted jewelry, bespoke apparel, and local artwork. 

The lineup on Friday, 5/29, will be from 4-6. You can enjoy happy hour at the Hyatt Regency featuring John Nunez. From 6 pm, the Windward Harper and Jull Posse on the RWJBarnabas Stage. At 8 pm, Nate Smith will be performing on the RWJBarnabas Plaza Stage. Lastly, from 9 pm to midnight, an Official Jam Session hosted by Mike Lee at the Hyatt Regency. 

On Saturday, 5/30 at 12 PM, the Riverview Jazz All-Stars will be performing with Bryan Beningove on the sax, Kyle Koekhler on the organ, Matt Kane on the drums, and Matt Chertkoff on the guitar. At 1:30 PM, Hyeseon Hong Jazz Orchestra on the Pier Stage. The Orchestra has performed at major venues, including Birdland Jazz club, and has been featured in festivals and concert series throughout the New York metropolitan area. At 5 pm, you can attend free dance lessons by Salsa fever on 2, as well as another dance class at 7 pm 

On Sunday, 5/31 at 12 PM, there will be the Andrew Wagner and Alex De Lazzari Quintet, and the UCMP’s Latin Jazz Ensemble. At 1:30 will be the JAZZ HOUSE Big Band presented by WBGO. At 2 pm will be Chembo Comiel Quintet, and at 5 pm and 7 PM another free dance class. 

There are VIP events each day where you can elevate your festival experience with the best views, reserved seating, and private lounge areas designed for comfort. VIP also gains access to Jazz Alley, private restrooms, and a complimentary tote bag. 

The Jersey City Jazz Festival will be performing at the Exchange Place Plaza in Jersey City, NJ.
