NFL Analyst Cris Collinsworth To Sign $12.5 Million Deal With NBC

Former Cincinnati Bengals receiver, Cris Collinsworth, is in negotiations with NBC for a deal to keep him on the network as lead analyst for “Sunday Night Football” into 2025. Collinsworth is expected to receive $12.5 million per season, according to a report by Andrew Marchand on NYPost.com.

The estimations on Collinsworth’s deal comes after Tony Romo, former quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, signed a deal in winter 2020 with CBS. The historic contract is a 10-year, $180 million contract that some fans found to be a little ridiculous, but other sports analysts saw as promising. Romo’s deal gave hope to analysts with contracts coming up to fight for higher dollar amounts, which seems to be happening already with Collinsworth and Troy Aikman, who has been in sports broadcasting since 2001 and makes half of what Romo signed in his deal.

Cris Collinsworth is a 3-time Pro Bowler who spent his entire NFL career with the Bengals (1981-88).
