A new Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will premiere in New York City this October. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has been a staple event for the fashion brand. In addition to showcasing some of the world’s most notable models, popular music artists have also participated, either performing live or even walking the runway as additional models. After six long years, the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is expected to be bigger than ever.
Past musical guests have included Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and more. The last show aired in 2018. Victoria’s Secret initially announced the return of the show in May and recently provided an update on the show’s musical headliner.
“We’ve read the comments and heard you,” the company’s May announcement read. “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is BACK and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love—the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more!”
According to a recent Instagram announcement, global music icon Cher has been revealed as the headliner for Victoria’s Secret’s comeback event. This will be the brand’s first major runway showcase in six years, and Cher will lead an all-women lineup for the first time.
“It’s a woman’s world, so it’s understood that you can’t have a fashion show without the mother of fashion herself—Cher!” read the Instagram announcement. “We’re beyond excited to announce she will officially be performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2024 on October 15. But she won’t be alone…stay tuned, more announcements are coming to round out our first-ever, all-women lineup.”
Additionally, the company also announced that popular South African singer-songwriter Tyla would also be performing alongside Cher, promising a spectacular event. That said, the company expressed that more announcements will come in the weeks leading up to the show.
