If you’ve ever wanted to eat at Krusty Burger or grab a drink at Moe’s Tavern, you’ll soon get your chance as Universal Studios announced that they will be building a full replica of Springfield to accompany the popular Simpsons ride at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. “This will be a must-see experience for Simpsons fans all over the world,” said Mark Woodbury, President of Universal Creative. “For the first time ever, they’re going to be able to enter a world that they’ve only seen on television – and we’re really excited to bring that world to life.” All of the Simpson’s popular dining landmarks will be there, including the Frying Dutchman, Lard Lad and a Luigi’s Pizza—plus Duff Beer will be brewed exclusively for Universal Orlando. The new attraction, launching this summer, will also feature a brand new ride called Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl, which “will take ‘foolish humans’ on an intergalactic spin designed to send them into orbit,” according to a press release. As Bart Simpson would say, “Ay Caramba!”

MSG Isn’t Harmful, But Anti-MSG Propaganda Is
In 1968, Chinese-American physician Robert Ho Man Kwok penned what he thought was a lighthearted letter to The New England Journal of Medicine. He wrote of experiencing numbness, palpitations, and weakness after eating in Chinese restaurants in the US, and wondered whether the monosodium glutamate used by the cooks here might be behind his strange illness. The consequences of Kwok’s letter were far-reaching and devastating. MSG, then a common food enhancer, was immediately tagged as a toxin in the public eye, a move supported by flawed “research”, and was removed from nearly every commercially-available food found on store shelves.
