Stephen Curry got 29 points, six rebounds, and four assists, while Jordan Poole added 17 points off of the bench. The game ended with the Warriors winning over Boston 107-88, tying the series. As a team, the Warriors forced 18 Boston turnovers, and they scored 33 points off of those turnovers. Curry scored 10 points in the opening frame, shooting four free throws and three assists. So, after the first quarter, the Warriors held a 31-30 lead.
Last night, the Boston Celtics won Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors 120-108 at the Chase Center. They’ll be playing again for Game 2 on Sunday Night. Al Horford and Jaylen Brown were Celtics’ highest scorers with 36 and 24 points respectively. Horford hit six three-pointers, outscoring the warriors 40-16 in the last 12 minutes.
The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat on Sunday, May 29th, in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Florida, thereby clinching the series. The Celtics took the final game Sunday evening 100 – 96 with Jayson Tatum of the Celtics leading his team with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Marcus Smart’s efforts were equally impressive with 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jaylen Brown also scored 24 points, with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
On Wednesday, the Boston Celtics defeated Miami Heat 93-80 in game five, making it a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference finals. Game 5 was a monumental game as it showed how worn down and eroded the Miami Heat team is amid multiple injuries. Boston came full force as they dominated the second half and came out strong through the third quarter, which built an 83-60 lead very early on in the fourth quarter. This Celtic win was the first time a team has won consecutive games in the series altogether.
Miami Heat basketball team won against the Boston Celtics, 118-107, and are now up 1-0 in the Eastern Conference finals. Although they were down eight points at halftime, the Heat didn’t take long to pull through and score them a victory.
