North Korea launched a missile over Japan for the first time in five years, raising tensions over Kim Jong Un’s nuclear program and prompting Tokyo to issue a rare public safety warning.
The missile, which was launched on Tuesday, splashed down in the Western Pacific about 3,200 kilometers east of Japan, according to Tokyo officials, who added that there were no reports of damage. The launch was condemned by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol warned of a “resolute response.”

Russian Missile Strike On Ukraine, Killing at Least 20
This morning, devastating news emerged regarding the Russia-Ukraine war and Russian missiles that struck the central Ukranian city of Vinnytsia. The attack happened much further west than the majority of Russian attacks so far, considering that Donbas in easter Ukraine, closer to the Russian border, has been the center of the most conflict. While the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that this was not meant to be an attack on civilians, so far 22 people have been recorded dead, with over 50 wounded, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky saying the missile attack was “an open act of terrorism.”
