Western NY death toll rises to 28 from cold, storm chaos

Locals in Buffalo gathered around space heaters, searched for automobiles buried in snow, and looked for other victims. After one of the deadliest weather-related disasters to ever hit western New York, which claimed 28 lives, Monday. There have been at least another 20 deaths reported across the remainder of the United States as a result of the fierce winter storm.
According to the National Weather Service, up to 9 additional inches (23 centimeters) of snow might fall in certain parts of western New York through Tuesday.

Subtropical Storm Nicole is on track to strengthen into a hurricane as it nears Florida

A hurricane warning was issued in Florida as subtropical storm Nicole strengthens by the minute. This rare November hurricane could hit Florida’s east coast this Wednesday not two months after Hurricane Ian’s deadly destruction. The last time a hurricane struck the US in the month of November was Hurricane Kate in 1985.
The National Hurricane Center expects Nicole to keep strengthening into a Category 1 hurricane as it approaches the Sunshine State late Wednesday into Thursday morning.
