Born in Barcelona, Spain in 1955, Tino Soriano is a photojournalist and travel photographer. He particularly enjoys photographing Medicine. In 2004, Mexican president Vicente Fox, awarded him the Lente de Plata award, a prize given to the author of the best story about Mexico published anywhere in the world.

He has received many national and international awards from renowned organizations like UNESCO, the World Health Organization, the Academy of Medical Sciences of Catalonia, Spanish Photographer of the Year 1995, NikonPro-2002, a World Press Photo Foundation award in 1999, and holds five FotoPres prizes.
