Summer is starting in NYC, and here are some fun events you can go to with your family and friends to kick off summer vibes!
1 – Bon Jovi – Forever Tour
Where: Madison Square Garden
When: July 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23 & 26, 2026
Time: 7:30 PM (doors around 6:30 PM)
This is a multi-night arena concert by Bon Jovi at Madison Square Garden. Each show features the band performing their biggest rock hits for thousands of fans in one of the world’s most famous music venues. You wouldn’t want to miss!
2 – Manhattanhenge – July Edition
Where: Manhattanhenge
When: July 11–12, 2026
Time: 8 pm (Sunset)
Manhattanhenge is when the setting sun lines up perfectly with Manhattan’s street grid, creating a glowing skyline corridor. It’s a photography and sightseeing event where crowds gather on cross streets like 34th and 42nd to watch the sunset between skyscrapers to make a beautiful scene. So, my photographers, you need to be here!
3 – FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Events (NYC Metro Area)
Where: Manhattan fan zones + MetLife Stadium area (NJ/NY regions)
When: July 1–13, 2026
Time: Varies by match (daytime matches + evening watch parties)
The FIFA World Cup 2026 brings global soccer excitement to the NYC area with matches at nearby MetLife Stadium and massive fan zones across Manhattan. It’s for international teams competing in the tournament, and NYC becomes a central hub for celebrations and public screenings. I’m sure sports fans would love to see this one!
4 – SummerStage Concert Series
Where: Central Park SummerStage (plus other NYC parks)
When: Throughout July 2026
Time: Typically 5:00 PM–8:00 PM
SummerStage is a citywide concert series featuring free and ticketed performances across genres like hip-hop, rap, jazz, and global music, and other music that I’m sure you’ll enjoy! It’s designed to bring live music into public parks and give locals and visitors a true NYC summer experience. Let’s bring a great vibe here!
5 – Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest
Where: Coney Island
When: July 4, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM
This iconic Fourth of July competition features competitive eaters racing to consume the most hot dogs in a set time. It takes place at Coney Island and has become one of NYC’s most famous and unusual Independence Day traditions. So, my food lovers, here’s something for you too!
