We all remember that infamous moment at the Super Bowl LVIII tournament where NFL star Travis Kelce, 34, had a harsh exchange of words with Kansas City Chiefs coach, Andy Reid, 65.

It was a tough and long game for the Kansas City Chiefs, and emotions were obviously running high. The Chiefs made the critical error of “fumbling” the football after one of the longest receptions of the game, causing an angry Kelce to bump and yell at his coach “to let him back in” or “to not get him out of the game” as he was being held back and dragged away by a team member, according to broadcasters and The New York Post.

CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson also claimed that Kelce tossed his helmet as he exited the field. However, any hard feelings simmered down, as Kelce later hugged it out with the coach as Reid patted him on the back, according to The Athletic and The New York Post.

“I immediately wish I took it back,” he admitted. “Coach Reid actually came right up to me after that and he just let me know, ‘Hey man, I love your passion. I got cameras on me all over the place, man,’ … Just fired me up even more to go out there and get a fucking victory for him, man. Big Red, sorry if I caught you with that cheap shot, baby. But damn, I love winning with you,” Kelce stated regarding the incident during Wednesday’s latest episode of New Heights, a sports and entertainment podcast hosted by Kelce along with his elder brother, Jason Kelce.

Kelce added that he was “a passionate guy, that sometimes he needs to control his emotions, and that it was ‘unacceptable’.”

“The part I love is he loves to play the game, and he wants to help his team win. And it’s not a selfish thing, that’s not what it is. And I understand that. So as much as he bumps into me, I get after him, and we understand that. He just caught me off-balance,” Reid said during a post-game press conference, according to Entertainment Tonight News.
