Observing World Food Day, international industrial company, Trimble, announced the donation of $100,000 to World Food Program USA to support relief efforts as economic crises across the globe continue to unfold, resulting in entire populations being hungry. World Food Program USA, the U.S. partner of the United Nations World Food Programme, mobilizes American policymakers, businesses, and individuals to advance the global movement to end hunger.
As part of World Food Day and Trimble’s commitment to feeding the growing population across the world, Trimble’s donation will support the greatest needs programming, which includes emergency food assistance.

World Food Day is an international annual celebration held on October 16th to commemorate the date of the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in 1945. The celebration received the Nobel Prize in Peace for 2020 for their efforts to combat hunger, contribute to peace in conflict areas, and for playing a leading role in stopping the use of hunger as a weapon for war and conflict. Its latest themes included “Grow, Nourish, Sustain. Together” in 2020, “Safe food now for a healthy tomorrow” and “Leave NO ONE behind” in 2022.
