Lauren Boebert parties as if every event takes place in a frat house at one of the biggest campuses in America, and that’s saying a lot; I went to the notorious midwestern party school Mizzou. Boebert, who is the poster child for MAGA Republicans has a long history of public intoxication yet receives little backlash for her inappropriate behavior. Just three months after she was kicked out of a theater for vaping in front of a pregnant woman and getting sexual with her date, CNN reported that she was cut off by bartenders at the New York Young Republican Club’s annual holiday gala. However, her crass behavior has not lost her any favor in her party, and Trump even endorsed her as a “trusted America first fighter.” Boebert can act a fool in public, embarrass herself and her party, and get off without so much as a slap on the wrist. Why are Republicans so comfortable ignoring her public intoxication, indoor vaping, and public sexual encounter?
When a bartender cuts you off, that’s embarrassing enough. But what did Boebert do? Well, she took advice from young undergrads and just went to a different bar. She “got so drunk at GOP Christmas party bar staff stopped serving her – and tried taking so many selfies with Donald Trump his security pulled her away.” That is incredibly modest, respectful, upstanding, Christian behavior, is it not? If I, a leftist, got piss drunk and got caught fondling my date, vaping in a theater, and harassing a prominent political figure for selfies, I would be in some serious legal trouble.
For a woman so intent on “traditional families,” she has absolutely failed her son. Tyler Boebert, the 18-year-old son of Rep. Lauren Boebert, was arrested in February in Colorado related to a string of alleged property thefts and vehicle trespasses, police said. The charges include four felony counts of criminal possession of identification documents and one felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony. If that doesn’t scream “traditional American family,” then I don’t know what does!
Despite her problem child, the 37-year-old grandma has not taken a hint of accountability for his actions or her own. “Obviously, I’m a Christian, and there are standards that we like to uphold, but none of us do it perfectly,” she responded when challenged by reporters who questioned her son becoming a father at 17, “We can nitpick what the Bible says is right and wrong, but I think just having that heart posture of wanting to serve God, it’s so important.”
Isn’t that exactly what Lauren Boebert does? She cherry-picks Bible verses to condemn minorities that she despises, yet those same rules clearly do not apply to her or her family. She is a fraud, and her scandals continue to grow. She represents herself, not her constituents.
I look forward to seeing her getting wasted in the near future. Hell, it could happen tomorrow.
