Reggaeton Artist of the Month for May 2023
Young Miko is a reggaeton and trap artist from Añasco, Puerto Rico. In a dominantly male industry, Young Miko rises to fame as one of the only female, gay artists of the industry. She went from tattoo artist to singing alongside Bad Bunny in his latest concert in Puerto Rico.
The 24-year-old Puerto Rican managed to sing in Puerto Rico’s Choliseo arena due to Benito’s invitation within a year of releasing her first song. An arena most artists don’t perform in for years after the beginning of their career. Now she has gone on to collaborate with artists like Arcangel, PJ Sin Suela, and Feid.
She began with a rented Airbnb in Rincón, and $100 mic and Bose speakers, and now has a mind-blowing album full of swag and originality under her belt and is collaborating with the biggest artists in the industry.
