It’s hard to believe that it is about to be 2023 – at least, to me, it is.
With this in mind, it’s time to start looking ahead at what beauty trends are going to take over stores, social media, and brands.
In this guide, I did a little research in order to give a short, and sweet little peek into what we can expect from skincare, makeup, nails, and hair trends next year.

- Brushed up eyebrows
Brows have been huge in makeup routines for years now. Whether you are going for more of a daytime casual look or an evening-time full glam look, 2023 is expected to amplify them even more. Less will be more, according to some makeup artists. So forget about brow pomade! Just get some tinted brow gel, brush them up, and go!
- Creamy Concealers
Dried-out, dull concealers can be tossed and told bye-bye. Your makeup bag will need a creamy concealer in 2023 in order to achieve a look that isn’t so drying. The Nars creamy concealer pictured above is a great option for this!
- Smudged Eyeliner
Jenny’s famous smudged eyeliner on Gossip Girl will make a comeback in 2023! Looking at pictures from NYFW, grungy eye looks were present at pretty much every show. Undone, smudgy eyeliner with shimmery eyeshadow can add a little extra edge to your everyday look.
- Contour Sticks and Cream Bronzers
2023 makeup trends are going to be as simple as possible, so it only makes sense that someone on the go would just grab a contour stick or cream bronzer.
- Lip Liners and Lip Balms
2023 will be the year of very natural lips. The combination of lip liner and lip balm will help achieve this look since it won’t leave any harsh lines around your lips.
- Ceramide and Niacinamide in Skincare
Ceramide and Niacinamide will continue to become increasingly popular since skin cycling is a popular trend on Tiktok right now.
- Minimalist Skincare Routines
Simpler skincare routines are going to continue into 2023 since we have almost moved away from the maskne era that COVID brought along with it. People are looking for simpler, easier routines while they are on the go now. Multitasking cleansers and toners will become more popular since they target more problem areas in one application.
- Copper Hair Color
According to the internet, copper is all over the place and heavily requested in hair salons as of right now. The “Bronde” color is also highly requested.
- The Return of the Side Part
The middle part found its peak in quarantine and for months after, but the middle part is set to make a comeback in 2023. I’ve personally always loved the side part because of how much volume it gives your hair. It also photographs very well!
- Olive Green and Terracotta Nails
These specific hues are going to be huge in 2023. Earthy hues and polishes have already been pretty popular lately, especially in the fall. I think that we may see this continue into 2023 as well.
