The Golden Globes – the biggest night for film and television stars – was held on Sunday, January 5. Before the award ceremony began, some of Hollywood’s most glamorous celebrities descended the red carpet.
One of the best-dressed celebrities of the night was the queen of AMC herself, Nicole Kidman. In a subtle nod to her iconic glittery silver striped suit, Kidman wore a silver custom Balenciaga Couture dress that elegantly draped along the floor. She accessorized with French Maison Boucheron jewelry for an overall elegant and sparkly look.
Anora star Mikey Madison put the “golden” in Golden Globes when she stepped onto the carpet in a glamorous custom Bottega Veneta dress. Covered in glittery golden sequins, the body-tight gown was complimented by a matching set of large silver earrings and a ring.
Always the king of fashion, Colman Domingo sported a Valentino suit with several complementary patterns, an exaggerated gingham scarf bowtie, and Boucheron jewelry. The suit was tailored perfectly, and the jewelry complemented his outfit without drawing attention away.
One of the best-dressed stars of the night was Ayo Edebiri, who stepped out in a custom grey Loewe suit, a golden feather tie, and Mejuri jewelry, which included a golden grill. The oversized suit was just baggy enough to be chic without Edebiri drowning in it, and the tie worked as a fun staple piece, keeping the look exciting. Her hair was lightly curled, giving a feminine touch to the more masculine fit.
Elle Fanning also stunned on the carpet with a bold animal-inspired look. Fanning wore a Balmain gown with a luminous peachy skirt and a standout leopard bodice. The animal print, already a significant trend in 2025, helped the dress stand out and pop against the soft feminine skirt.
Of course, Zendaya stole the show with a look everyone was talking about – though fans were less interested in her gorgeous orange Louis Vuitton gown and old Hollywood-inspired bob, accentuated by a classic Bulgari necklace. Instead, everyone had something to say about the large ring on her left hand – confirmed days later to be a brand-new engagement ring from fiance Tom Holland. Fans gushed at the subtle red carpet-confirmation.
Thanks to Zendaya, old Hollywood fashion made a comeback this year. Some of the best looks played with classic pieces, such as Edebiri’s grey suit, while also adding a creative piece of flare—whether it was a custom grill or an animal-print bodice. There was no doubt that the stars were out and shining at the Globes this year.
